Why Publish This?
I’ll tell you.
Personal and professional growth is essential in today’s fast-paced world, especially for pet enthusiasts like myself. As a devoted cat mom, I believe in setting meaningful goals that not only enrich my life but also contribute positively to the well-being of my feline companions and the broader community. This page outlines my aspirations in areas such as health and well-being, social networking, financial stability, personal growth, and ongoing reflection.
By committing to these goals, I aim to cultivate a fulfilling lifestyle that embraces both self-care, professionalism, and community service, ensuring that I can be the best cat mom and advocate for animal welfare. Publishing a list like this not only shows you, the viewer, that there is an actual person behind this blog, but it also acts as an accountability system for me.
Personal Goals
These are some things that I hope to achieve in my personal life that relate to the content of this blog and my expertise in animal care and ownership, including raising awareness about responsible pet ownership, sharing valuable information on training techniques, and advocating for the well-being of all animals.
- Health and Well-being: Prioritize self-care with routines and a balanced work life to maintain energy for caring for my cats and maintaining my social media presence & blog.
- Learning: Dedicate time each week to learn more about animal health information, common household pet behavior, and training techniques.
- Continuing Education: Enroll in online courses and attend dog / cat shows to further enhance my experience and credentials.
Community and Social Goals
Personal goals aside, I also want to get out in my community more. Not just online, either; I believe that real connections are made in person. Going to events & shows, interacting with pet parents, and volunteering are just a few activities I’m excited about. I envision attending local pet fairs and festivals where I can meet like-minded individuals who share my passion for animals. I also plan to dedicate resources on my blog to support rescue organizations that deserve it!
- Networking: Connect with other cat owners through social media, local meetups, and online forums to share experiences and tips, and even collaborate on projects.
- Dedicate a Page to Showcase Rescues: On this blog, at some point I want to create a page that showcases rescue organizations and good samaritans that share my values.
- Grow my Audience: Use resources like LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and even Pinterest to grow my target audience.
- Volunteering: Allocate time to volunteer at local animal shelters or rescue organizations to help other animals and pet lovers in need.
Financial Goals
Money management never came naturally to me, so I have to work twice as hard to fill the gaps. It is especially hard for me because I have ADHD, and I tend to act on impulse and novelty. But of course, when you have pets and responsibilities to take care of, not everything can be bought on a whim.
- Budgeting: Create a budget to follow for personal and professional use to maintain consistency in my content, ads, campaigns, and collaborations.
- Investing: I want to start investing in myself, a business of sorts, and my continuing education… while also setting aside money for investment accounts.
- Becoming a Regular Donor: Set aside a monthly fund for donating to rescue organizations local to me to help animals find their forever homes.
In conclusion, this blog serves as a platform for me to share my journey, insights, and experiences while pursuing my personal and professional goals. Through engaging content and meaningful connections, I aim to inspire others to reflect on their aspirations and take actionable steps towards achieving them. Your support and participation are invaluable, and I look forward to the adventure ahead!
